Twenty-two representatives from the US Embassy, led by HE Ambassador Robert F. Godec and Ms. Vanessa Runnalls, came to the DPF on 11 September.

Ms. Washizu Mio (Vice-Governor, Fukui Prefectural Government) led a team of Fukui Prefecture officials to Thailand for the purpose of signing an MOU between Fukui Prefecture and Kanchanaburi Province on the “Care-Giver for the Elderly Project” in Japan.

The students at the Chumchonmoobaanpattana school in the Klong Toey slum (adjacent to the DPF) breathed a huge sigh of relief on a hot and humid September 5 when the Walls Ice-Cream Company came to distribute ice cream.

70 children from the Duang Prateep Kindergarten headed to the theatre on September 6 to see the Thai animation movie “Out of the Nest”.

Ms. Inju Lee and Mr. Inhwa Lee of the Korean Influencers and group from “We are Clover” came to the DPF on a second visit to give free haircuts to 40 lucky elderly people.

Khru Prateep and Dr. Tatsuya Hata (senior advisor to the DPF International Relations Section) welcomed two teachers from Sendai Ikuei Gakuen High School to the foundation.

The foundation celebrated 46 years of devotion to helping underprivileged children and the poor people of the Klong Toey communities on August 30 at the DPF.

The foundation is participating in a unique job creation initiative for poor people with Atlas Energy plc (LPG Gas and PT brand cooking gas).

Sirintip Phasuk (daughter of former volunteer Eva Lang Phasuk) and her friend visited the DPF on August 21.

Our annual co-operation with the Royal Police Cadet Academy kicked off on 28 August when eight police cadet students came to the DPF to learn about the lives of society’s poor.

Khru Prateep joined the “2nd National Education Assembly” under the concept “All for Education”.

Eighteen students and lecturers from Singapore Management University visited the DPF.

On August 15 at the DPF, Khru Prateep gave a presentation to students and lecturers from the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University.

The foundation was honored to welcome the Minister of the Embassy of Japan, Mr. Tatsushi Nishioka, and his family on 16 August.
