Familiarization Excursion

As some of our dedicated band of volunteers at the DPF in Bangkok had never been to our New Life Project (Kanchanaburi) for abused children, Khru Prateep recently took seven of them on a day trip there to familiarise them with the centre’s activities and to meet the children during their school holidays. On the way there, the group took in some of the famous tourist sites of Kanchanaburi. But upon arrival, it was down to the main purpose of the trip of meeting the kids and engaging them in fun games and activities to enhance their English language skills. In appreciation, the children took the visitors around the centre’s palm oil and fruit orchards, vegetable gardens and chicken raising/egg production projects, followed by everyone every one joining in a Thai dessert-making class.
