“Home + Garden: Urban People Sharing for Sustainability.”

On September 21, representatives from ten housing networks and communities in Klong Toey came together to hold a forum and issue a press release titled “Home + Garden: Urban People Sharing for Sustainability.” They are also preparing a proposal to submit to the government, requesting that 20% of the Klong Toey Port Authority’s land be allocated for developing a city for the poor. This proposal will be presented on International Habitat Day, October 6. The right to housing is a fundamental right for every person and must be enshrined in the Constitution.
