Cadet Cops Gain Greater Understanding

Our annual co-operation with the Royal Police Cadet Academy kicked off on 27 August, and will run till 9 September. Ten police cadet students came to the DPF to learn about the lives of society’s poor. They are currently spending two weeks at our New Life Project in Kanchanaburi to learn about the lives of troubled children, and to join them in activities to help in their rehabilitation. On the first day, the cadets listened to presentations by representatives from Muang Kanchanaburi Police Station and the Chief Executive of Baankao Subdistrict Administrative Organization on their organization’s roles, activities and services for the people. They also heard from the director and students at Baankao School, where our NLPK children are studying. On the final day, the cadets will come to the DPF to meet Khru Prateep, who will brief them on the foundation’s activities and the Klong Toey situation.
