Remembering 9-11
Twenty-two representatives from the US Embassy, led by HE Ambassador Robert F. Godec and Ms. Vanessa Runnalls, came to the DPF on 11 September to perform community work among the poor as a commemorative activity on the anniversary of the 9-11 attack on the World Trade Center in New York. Khru Prateep first briefed them about Klong Toey slum and DPF activities, after which they divided into three groups to distribute 50 Survival Bags to bed-ridden people throughout the community. The visitors then stopped off in the DPF Kindergarten to provide lunch to all the children.
