On October 21, Khru Prateep and staff welcomed Ms. Kim E. Kiatiwongse from Goodera (a corporate volunteering management company) and 26 volunteers from Tik Tok (Bangkok Office). Their main mission was to donate 12 ukuleles to 12 interested children and youths. Of Portuguese origin, the small musical instruments garnered worldwide fame when introduced into Hawaiian music. The rest of their visit was taken up with “sanook” activities with the kindergarten children, such as storytelling, playing musical chairs, decorating pots and clothes bags with painted designs and, very importantly, eating snacks and ice-cream. Prior to the activities, Khru Prateep briefed our guests on Klong Toey and the current situation of the land development.
