On 3 December, operators of 22 Bangkok Metropolitan Administration pawn shops, led by Mr. Chanathip Veerapak (Director of BMA Pawn Shop Office), came to the DPF to hand in donation boxes they had generously allowed to be placed in their shops. Donations totaled 21,665.50 baht. A big Thank-You to the pawn shops, which provide a vital service to poor people at financially challenging times of year, such as the opening of the new school year. On the same day, the Pawn Shop Office also engaged hair-dressers from Klong Toey Vocational Training Center to provide free haircuts for 60 elderly slum residents.
