Ambassadorial Visit

H.E. Mr. Otaka Masato (Japanese Ambassador to Thailand) and his party were warmly welcomed to the foundation on 4 December by Prof. Sant Hathirat, Khru Prateep and Dr. Tatsuya Hata. The ambassador was keen to learn more about the life and tribulations of the country’s underprivileged people in urban slums. An initial inspection of educational opportunities for children at the DPF Kindergarten, where students performed traditional dance and played classical instruments, kicked off the visit. This was followed by a presentation on the serious housing problems the people are currently facing, and then a walk through the community to see the reality on the ground. The ambassador and his team also kindly distributed Survival Bags to bed-ridden people during the walk. The Duang Prateep Foundation greatly appreciates the ambassador’s interest in co-operation on social development in Thailand.
