Reciprocal Visit from Japan

In 2023, Khru Prateep visited a famous temple in Japan called Kakuozan Nitttai-Ji Temple, which was built during the reign of Thailand’s King Rama V to build relations between the two countries. This temple is the first and only temple at which monks from all sects in Japan come to practice Buddhism together. On 12 December, Khru Prateep and Dr. Tatsuya Hata welcomed the chief priest of the Kakuozan Nitttai-Ji Temple, Rev. Enryu Murakami, and his party of 19 monks to the DPF on a reciprocal visit. They observed the kindergarten’s activities and distributed Survival Bags to bed-ridden people in the community. Later, they visited Wat Sapan Temple near the DPF and met the abbot there. After which, they went to meet the abbot of Wat Saket (Temple of the Golden Mount) in the old quarter of Bangkok.
