The New Life Project for Girls, Kanchanaburi Province
Background:
This rehabilitation project started in 1996 in Kanchanaburi province to help girls and female youths who had been abused physically and/or sexually, including being forced into prostitution. It also now offers support to young females trying to overcome drug addiction, and very young boys who have been abused or abandoned.
Objectives:
1. To rehabilitate both the physical and mental health of children and youths who have suffered abuse
2. To enable children and youths to receive education and vocational skills according to their potential
3. To develop their mind and change their behavior, so they are ready to return to their family and society

2. Medical treatment expenses: 1,000 Baht/child/year
3. Daily expenses: 1,000 Baht/child/year
4. Food (3 meals) 1,500 Baht/child/year
