Youth Leaders from Pakistan

On 18 April, the DPF hosted a group of 21 Pakistani undergraduate students who were curious to learn how we help local people tackle pressing challenges in their communities. Our field staff, who have good experience in the Klong Toey slums and with eviction problems, gave a presentation to the visitors. After that, they helped to pack Survival Bags of necessary daily items and took them to distribute to the elderly and bed-ridden people in the Lock 1-2-3 and 70-Rai communities.
The visitors are all emerging youth leaders from diverse communities across Pakistan who attended American universities and colleges for a semester of undergraduate classes. They are part of a Global Undergraduate Exchange Program, and their goal is to engage communities in Bangkok while strengthening their leadership and career skills.
