International Co-operation Benefitting Thai Students

From April 5-10, a delegation of Thai officials associated with the ‘Care-Givers for the Elderly’ program were invited to Japan by Mr. Tatsuji Sugimoto (Governor of Fukui Prefecture) for discussions and inspections of the program’s operations in that country. Their schedule included a visit to a retirement home, Onnowakoen Fukui, in Fukui Prefecture, where Thai students already participating in the program are working. Discussions on work guidelines for accepting future Thai students from Kanchanaburi into the program were also conducted. The Thai party included Ms Ladaphan Phraesrithong (program director), Lt. Thotsapon Chaikomin (Kanchanaburi governor), Chief Executive of Kanchanaburi Provincial Administrative Organization) and the director of the Baan Kao School in Kanchanaburi.
